Anyone Moving to Monmouth County NJ need to sell Charlotte House
Hi We want to move to Charlotte and would need to sell our house in NJ. My hope is to find someone in Charlotte, Waxhaw or surrounding areas that is looking to move to Monmouth County NJ. We have a 3800 - 4000 sq ft house on 1.3 acres in North Howell. We border Colts Neck so your High School kids would go there and grammer school would go to Howell Twp schools. (Adelphia and Memorial both highly rated) Since houses in both areas are taking longer then normal to sell we thought this could be a win win for both parties. We are looking for a 4 bedroom house in the 250000 - 300000 price range. Obviously in NJ it is more costly to buy but pay is higher also. We would sell our house for 599,000 which is much lower then any house in our neighborhood.

Moved from Howell. Took 2 years to sell the house. And that was a year and a half ago. I wish you luck.

from the wife,
Good luck to you. We had our home on the market in Hunterdon County,NJ. The house was only 4 years old, upgrades, in a great development, good schools etc...We listed it Feb.2007. It has been on the market that long. We finally closed today!!! We had to come down in price alot compared to what we had it listed at even a few months ago. We have been in Waxhaw/Wesley Chapel since Oct. 2007 and love it. Our realtor in Nj said it is so dry up there and that's why we jumped on the offer even though it was significantly lower than what the other homes were selling for even a few months ago.

Thats the area we want to move to so if you hear any of your neighbors wanting to move back up here let me know. We actually got our house as a short sale a couple years ago so at least that puts us in a better place for selling then some but if people arent buying I guess the price doesnt matter.

Hi there,
I just stumbled by your thread and was wondering if you ever happened to find a buyer for the Monmouth home. I've just relocated to the area and looking around a present for something to buy or do a long term lease.

Sorry things got crazy and just got back to the city data forum. No we did not sell yet. I did not list the house since I know how the market is and how long it is taking. The last house I had I sold through word of mouth and just find that sometimes this is better then going through a realtor since both us and the buyer wins since you can sell lower due to no realtor fee. Are you still looking?

Yes, we're still looking around although I have to admit getting a little lazy these past few weeks. In fact I've been taking a course in real estate to get up to speed on how realtors work and they do earn their commission if they really stick to their responsibilities. I guess if you have a buyer lined up though the fsbo route is a perfect solution, especially with a good attorney to work on the contract. As for us, perhaps a few more months of looking before we make a move.
