Default Room / apartment wanted (Mobile, AL only)

Hi,

I'm a female college student in Mobile, AL looking for a place to live for next semester. I would prefer something affordable, around $400 or so per month. Right now I'm paying a little more than that to stay at the Grove apartments across from Hilcrest road. I've looked at living off campus, but so far it's a bit expensive. Plus, I don't have a strong line of credit.

One of the following options would be ideal:

a roommate who is currently renting / buying and looking for someone to share the expenses. (preferred option)

a quiet room in someone's home, (attic or basement may be ideal)

an oportunity to live in someone's house at a reduced rate in exchange for keeping an eye on things, mowing/ manicuring lawn, running small errands, taking care of pets, etc.

a private room, separate from the landlord's home, which I may rent on a monthly or yearly basis. (second best option)

A place that doesn't have a problem with pets would be ideal. I'm a bit of a cat person.

Also, please keep in mind that some ajustments are in order to comfortably accomodate a guest in your living area. Please don't be rude, and try to understand your guest(s) / roommate(s) preferences. Also, when living with someone it is helpful to make reasonable effort to get to know that person.
