This, the people, the low cost of living, the cool neighborhoods, the gritty neighborhoods, the diversity! Everything!

I have to chime in again and mention the friendliness of the people who are from here; every other place I go, I never find people as friendly. Plus, it's interesting to me how many people ask me in other places if I'm from Cleveland! They always say it's a mix of my "accent" and how friendly I am - they say you only find that here and I think it's true.

Default Favorite Cleveland things

I haven't lived in Cleveland since I was 13, but I have gone back for fun. I always have a great time when I visit. My favorite Cleveland things are:

1. Lake Erie
2. driving and seeing the Cleveland skyline
3. Cleveland Art Museum
4. Fantastic ethnic food (Sokolowskis and Balaton)
5. easy to drive around
6. snow
7. Exotic Ukrainian Orthodox churches that look like they could be in Kiev
8. every present deer (I've never seen so many in one day!)

I get a happy feeling in Cleveland I don't get anywhere else.

My favorite about good old Cleveland is its a city with a small town feel and everyone is friendly. I like The Flats, the Rapid although I wished it ran later at night, The Tower and being by the lake.

Well I think , No I know , one of my new hang out area is West 65th and Detroit Avenue . a 5 min. drive from my house , plus I could walk there. and when you
have the public transit schedule down pat . a greatway to start your morning
on your way to work , I time it just right and use the #45 bus to the area, Stop in to
the local coffee place , java and a freshly baked muffin Ok maybe two .
eat in time to catch the # 26 bus to my downtown job.
That said , tonight I finally had time to to go to the movies so why not in the
newly refurbished theater , Very old and new school the look is back in the 1920 's the projection of course ditital / three d. ( Gordan Square .com) very different look BUT
this so reminded me walking to Shaker Square from my childhood home , (1976) to see a movie ,then stopping into Halle's (upscale department store ) where the security peronnell would follow me all over.
I guess it's time to walk back to Buckeye Road .
darn I guess I do love this City you never know when something new happens
