Why is this post titled "Movie stars" from Cleveland? It seems most of the people you mention are famous (or infamous) for non-cinema things.

I was wondering the same thing. I just went with it, though...

Anyway, back in 1972-73 we took a contract at Case Western Reserve and lived in Cleveland Hts. for 2 years. My daughter went to Roxboro Junior High and befriended Sean. She must have been 13 at the time. It made me nervous because Sean was quite the rebel, even back then. She was kind of a gawky kid with a very distinct face. She got into some amazing and intense fights with a social studies teacher named David Swarts. It was more than 40 years ago and I still remember this one fight like it happened yesterday.

I always thought she was the kid most likely to end up in juvenile hall, but to my surprise I saw her a few years later in the movies. I was also happily surprised to see she had grown into that face and had become quite pretty (Of course, I wasn't surprised to see that she did a few scenes butt naked, LOL )

I wonder what she's doing now? Maybe she settled down and moved back to Cleveland. Nothing would surprise me.

She has been working on the soap "The Young and the Restless." I don't know much about it because it's not my soap, but I remember reading about it awhile ago. She was also on Skating With the Stars last season. I know that from the promos too.

I don't even know her name but this chick from "Parenthood" grew up in Shaker Hts.

She was on Craig Ferguson. I wasn't paying much attention and then I heard her say something like "yes, when I was younger we would take the rapid....".
Looked up and had to rewind to be sure that was what she said. lol

If you don't know, there aren't a lot of places that refer to a subway type system as "the rapid". Totally a "Cleveland thing".

She then went on to mention growing up in Shaker...

Though not born in Cleveland, Lesley Towns-Hope (Bob Hope) was raised in Cleveland. and Halle Berry was named after the Halle's Department Store. Don't forget Rocco Scotti - the great stentorian tenor.
