Default Any thoughts on Drees or Petros homes?

Hello all, I thought that I'd ask the masses for help on this question.

My wife and I are looking at a Drees Homes community in North Royalton. There are some designs which seem attractive and I like being able to build precisely the interior that I'm looking for. My issue is that there seem to be some horror stories online about Drees. I know in some sense, if you build enough homes, there'll be bound to have some rotton ones or just bad luck, and it certainly is easy to raise a stink about anything online.

My question is, "Are there any folks out there who live or have lived in a Drees Home or community?" I'd appreciate it if you have or know someone who does, if you could reply or PM me.

I was also looking at Petros as well, in the Richfield or Broadview Heights area. They seem to be a nice, smaller local builder, but their prices are a little higher.

Advice is much appreciated!

Im not seeing too many complaints about Drees, I've seen more complaints about Ryan homes...The funny thing is I know someone who has a ryan home and they love it... North Royalton is a very nice westside location....I think you'll get a few horror stories on both sides..Its all in what you like...You can't really go wrong in North Royalton, North Olmsted and surrounding areas like that, (and I'm an eastsider, lol)

Thanks for the tips! Yeah, we've got to find someplace central for our jobs (streetsboro, Akron, Cleveland), church (north olmsted) and with good schools. Seems like Richfield is our best choice for now.

Default petros homes

As long as you have no problems they are ok but their quality for the money isn't good, bad cement bad flooring tile that peels up, do not put proper subflooring down, they use staples and not screws and the list goes on...we wanted a different builder but petros denied us of that because the lot they said they need to build on it. Ryan homes built us a better home and Callas builders did also with none of these problems. We have had more issues in 9 years with petros than 20 years with callas and ryan homes. than we had in owning

Quantity over quality is the mantra of the builder. And unfortunately, this is what the buyer wants, in my opinion.
