Cleveland Heights, followed by Shaker Heights and then East Cleveland (can't ignore the potential there) Then Lakewood. Those are the most unique. Most of the rest are just carbon copies of other suburbs built in their respective time periods.

Lakewood, hands down.

But then, I lived there for 15 years... so I guess I'm biased.

I picked Euclid,East Cleveland,Richmond Heights,Warrensville Heights, and Maple Heights because there is alot of diversity in them.Im from Euclid, and I use to go to Richmond Heights Mall all the time.

where oh where is on a distinguished road
I picked Westlake, Olmsted Falls & Lyndhurst. Rocky River (From there originally), Bay Village and Gates Mills were not on the list as I would have picked these too. I just noticed I missed South Euclid. So like that one also.

cleveland hts (best urban/suburban balance anywhere), shaker hts (beautiful lakes, mansions, diversity, and, oh yeah, rapid transit galore), lakewood, greatest lakeshore of any ohio city, urbanized/high density living), U. heights, nice pleasant collegetown/burb in the heart of the awesome heights area, ... and east cleveland (needs some love, does have direct rapid transit, some great old apartments -- the ones left standing, and loads of potential -- it is right next door to university circle; it even has some nice living areas, believe it or not, esp up the hill in Forest Hill)...

I agree with MABCle on all counts. I'll throw in a couple hidden gems: Gates Mills, Hunting Valley and Chagrin Falls -- all classic woodsy New England-like villages less than 30 mins from downtown Cleveland... Also, Berea is a neat little college town with Baldwin-Wallace's classic old campus, neat old houses a town square and liberal attitudes smack dab in the middle of Cleveland bland, boring conservative West Side suburbs... amazing.

Im gonna say.....Shaker Heights,Rocky River, and Pepper Pike only because its really rich and they got like 2 million dollar houses everywhere i want to move there if i ever get rich. East Cleveland does have potential with good access to public transportation. East Cleveland is now 97% Black and has a poverty rate of around 35% (Higher than Cleveland). Its rough but it does have potential. Some of the houses there would be really nice.
