I was curious if any of you guys have any good recommendations for apartment buildings in Woodmere? Basically, I'm looking for something in the $500 - $1000 range per month. Woodmere seems like a good area for me, since I'll be taking the bus to work and I've noticed some run right on Chagrin and drop me off right by work. Anyway, feel free to offer any and all suggestions related to finding apartments in the area. Thanks in advance.

Any reason for Woodmere in paticular? It is such a small town that there are not to many places to rent there. What about Beachwood or Mayfield Heights?

Anyone know the status of the planned Commerce Park Apartments in Beachwood at Chagrin Boulevard and Green Road. Are they currently under construction?

My current roommate used to live at the apartments on Chagrin/Brainard (the other side of where Tomato Tomato is). They were very cheap and quiet, I think less than a thou for a two-bed.

Management was okay. Residents there were a mixed of transient, low-income and students. The place was fine.

If I were renting in Woodmere, I'd avoid the apartments immediately west of the Eton shopping area... and east of Brainard Rd. Just a hunch that those will be a retail expansion of Eton - and not apartments - in the next 1-2 years based on rumors.

Last time I drove by there, maybe a month or so ago, the lot was cleared and there was activity going on. Not sure how much progress they've made since then, but yes, work has started.
