Lake Ridge is very expensive (approx $20K a year) but they offer a good assistance package. They claim 50% of all students receive some assistance and the avg assistance is around $15K --- $10K in financial aid and $5K in Grants according to their website, but it's a good 25-30 mins drive from Lakewood. Another I forgot to mention was Ruffing Montessori in Rocky River (to go along with the other's I already mentioned - St. Rafeal in Bay, Lakewood Catholic Academy and St. Chris in R. River)

And just to adress the diversity. LRA is 76% White, 14% Asian, 7% Black and 3% Hispanic. Birchwood is 68% White, 25% Asian, 4% Black and 3% Hispanic. They are very similar. Student:Teacher Ratio is 8 to 1 at LRA and 12 to 1 at Birchwood.

And like the above poster mentioned the physical campus at LRA is Beautiful. Only thing like it are the private schools on the Eastside like Western Reserve Acadamey, Gilmour, Hawken, etc

Those stats make me wonder how 'white' is defined. If they're from greatschools.net (I assume so, since they're identical to the stats for Birchwood there), they don't provide enough detail IMO to say much about a school's diversity.

The reason I say this is that over half of the families who currently send their kids to Birchwood come from outside the US.

Birchwood's 120-student population comes from families from over two dozen countries, including Canada, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, France, Romania, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, South Korea and the Philippines.

*That* is diversity.
