I have an interview in Brecksville in 2 weeks and I'm hoping to get some information about the area. If I am offered the position and accept it, I'll probably be moving to the area in the next 2-3 months. Can anyone recommend good apartment complexes in the area? Any information about crime rates or anything else one should know? I've always lived on the east coast.

Brecksville is a very nice suburb. Crime is almost nonexisitent. The school systems are very good and its got a lot of nice new apartment and condo complexes going in. Its right by the Cuyahoga Nat'l Park with some very nice scenery and great park systems. Its only about 30 minutes from Cleveland. You wouldnt think that its by a major city with the park systems around it. Really i think Brecksville is just about perfect IMO. I think you will really like it if you consider a move there. I use to live in Westlake, a suburb on the western edge of Cleveland. Now i live in Mason, Ohio just north of Cincinnati. If you need anymore info i will be glad to help.

Brecksville is really nice . . . Its also in a good location for commuting a little ways--so you'll have your choice. You'll have no trouble finding an appropriate place. Just watch out for us Clevelanders . . . we ALL think that ALL of our suburbs and neighborhoods are "nice". And by and large they ARE, but "nice" is defined differently by different folks. Find "your people" here and get their opinion. Good luck. Bill

There are several affordable and nice units in Brecksville. Also look in Broadview Heights or North Royalton.

Default Brecksville Bound?

I work for FedEx Ground and have a delivery route in the Brecksville/Richfield area. This is a very nice area. Low crime, beautiful scenery.
Not sure about the apartment situation, but housing is pricey. There is a really nice National park with bike/ bridle trails, There is plans to build a 16k seat multi use soccer stadium nearabouts. Too much to mention. But there is a lot to offer in the area, you will like it. As for me, I am moving to New Mexico in a few weeks, before the real winter hits
Good Luck

Newmex, you must really love delivering to those loooong driveways in Brecksville. My good friend was a UPS driver and that was his only complaint about Brecksville.

Default Delivering in the Woods

Yeah, it's fun. There is some probability formula somewhere that explains why, that, when I have a package that goes back down a street that is a cul-de-sac, 9 times out of 10 it's the house on the end with a 1000 foot drive shrouded in trees. It snakes back, and is cut out to barely miss the trees, and pray for a turnaround if their sub-compact isn't blocking the way.

Lets not forget their dog, who does not like big boxy loud trucks breaking their tranquility. I ALWAYS keep dog treats on the truck, no guarantee that you will not get nipped. Never turn your back on a angry dog.

I swear some of these people live a hermits' joy back there, and order practically everything, sometimes it's only to deliver an envelope.

Default Brecksville Area

Brecksville is a very nice but pricey area. There are some apartments more towards Broadview Heights and North Royalton. In fact why rent....? My house is on the market, perfect for a professional and right now we have buyer incentive options! We are approximately 7 miles from Brecksville, and we are very motivated to sell!!!

Default Its a wonderful place

I worked in Brecksville for about 5 months and really liked the place. I lived in Broadview Hts and commuted to work in Brecksville. Great place to live and scenic. I miss the place now and want to move back there at some point of life.

What i like about the area is that it is close to the Cuyhoga Nat'l Park, and it is a very scenic area. Its also only about 30 minutes from downtown Cleveland.
