Looks like we are more than likely moving to the Cleveland area, so I was wondering what the liquor laws are..Can you buy beer and wine in supermarkets here, and if so is it well priced or do they tax the Heck out of it? Coming from NH where we can buy beer and wine in the supermarket, I am hoping I can still get my alcohol when I get my groceries. Told my husband if not, it may be a dealbreaker.. Thanks!

I would add that some grocery stores now even have hard liquor available in a separate section of the store. They have to be a state liquor agency, but it is getting to be more and more common. As for high taxes, judging from my numerous trips to different areas of the country, I would say that we're about average in both cost and taxes.

They sell beer and wine at pretty much every store in Ohio, no worries there. Prices are decent and the selection is awesome.
