Default Loft space/work space.

Hey all.

Word in Detroit is that work/artist/loft space can be had for super cheap. Cleveland, having seen a large industrial decline (but weathering it fabulously in comparison) should have plenty of these spaces floating around. Is this true? If so, any recommendations on places where to look?

I know that quite a few of the abandoned warehouses and factory buildings have been converted into live/work spaces. They seem to be gaining momentum around the Asiatown.

Any idea where one could find such a thing? I've got a few projects I'm interested in working on once I make my relocation.

One I know off the top of my head is the Tower Press building on 19th and Superior.

Lots of warehouse buildings on the near east side that would make for great loft space. Look between downtown and E. 55th, north of Chester.

All the ones in the Warehouse District have been converted into condos/retail/restaurants. I would check in around Asiatown. Lots of new investment going on there. Check with some of the ones along Euclid in Midtown... with the Healthline now complete, a lot of warehouses have seen work, and others are in the planning stages. Two places to look at that I can think of would most likely be Asiatown or Midtown.

Check out Tyler Village... awesome success story there.
