I moved to Cleveland in 1989, and one of the first things I learned from ppl was that ppl from Parma wear white socks with everything, and have plastic pink flamingoes in their yards!! My father in law is from Parma (lives in MD now) but we still tease him about it.
I grew up in Dayton, and we always called it pop there too...so no change when I moved to Cleveland. Buy boy! When I moved to Maryland and kept saying pop, people really did look at me like I was crazy! Now I'm in PA, and I'm still not sure which one I should use...
