Last week, Mayor Frank Jackson, announced and unveiled a new plan to develop the lakefront. As far as I know, it's suppose to contain hotels, shopping, etc. Previous mayors such as Mike White and Jane Campbell (surprise) had plans but they were scrapped because disagreements between the city and the Port Authority. But, now, along with the Browns, everyone is on board with the plan and purposal. Most of the funding is coming from private money with very little use of public money.

It's about time that something like this happened. It's long overdue especially with Browns Stadium, Great Lakes Science Center, and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame here. I know there some feel that it's just another plan, and it'll never happen. But, I ask myself, "Why can't it happen?". I love Cleveland, but we need to be more supportive. We have to stop with this jaded bride/girlfriend mentality when it comes to a plan is purposed. That's one of the main things that have contributed to Cleveland's "inferiority complex". You have to take a chance, or you'll never win.

What do you think about this plan? Are you for it or against it?
