Oh, I was born and raised in Tremont before it was "Trendmont"...we always called it the "South Side"...when I heard they were remodeling Gospel Press (which we had been told stories of secret tunnels underneath, like Cleveland Heights has their coal runs) I almost fell on the floor, lol...I grew up on the bigger side of W. 11, and I was there when they filmed "A Christmas Story"...most of my family was extras in it, and I was an extra as a teenager in the sequel they filmed at the same place. I use to play on the lot next to the house in the movie where they had a giant old buckeye tree and we'd fling them at each other and they really hurt, lol...can't find buckeye trees anywhere now...
(However, we were preparing to move out of a house and neighborhood I hated on the West Side...the neighbors were so miserable and just hated us and did everything they could to make us know it...so a few months before we moved, don't you know I planted an entire row of buckeye trees about 10 feet from their property line. haha!)

I voted east side, but does that mean of the city? Grew up In Maple Heights which I guess is technically an east side suburb.Nice middle class area when I was growing up. Last time I was there tho it had dramatically changed, and not for the better.

Grew up in a tiny town in the northeast, but visited my grandparents in Parma every summer. Lived in University Circle for 4 years (dorms) and in Cleveland Heights for 1 year (Cedar-Fairmount).

Then I lived in Boston for over 4 years, and now I'm a PhD student in a different tiny town in the northeast. I've kind of been in a Cleveland nostalgia mode since I visited this past summer.
