New to Cleveland....
My fiancee and I just bought a house in the West 144th & Triskett area. And well we dont know many people here or much about Cleveland, so we were looking for friends and or advice about anything.
I'm 21 and he's 24, we both drive, and both have cars.

Leaving Cleveland is some good advice. Not too good of an investment to buy a house in Cleveland either.

It was a joke, I just hope your neighborhood does not go down hill too quickly.

I don't think it will. We have a bunch of elderly people living next to us and we are near a school and a church.

Triskett is also close to the rapid transit -- downtown one way or the airport, the other, are about 12-13 mins away by train... Also, if you go toward West Park/Kamms Corner, the area becomes more suburban, esp along the Rocky River. There are even a few mini-mansions in this area... There's also a pretty lively entertainment/restaurant strip along Lorain near Rocky River Drive, which is the heart of Kamm's Corner.

I am not sure what things you like to do but Cleveland really has a lot to offer. I live on the east side (Mentor). I play tennis at least once a week with 3 other guys. Golf courses are everywhere (east and west), lots of baseball leagues, bowling leagues, darts, bars, restaurants...even a couple of outdoor/drive-in theatres. The West Side Market is fun with all kinds of different food stands....(I believe this is closing so go soon). The Museums at University Circle are very nice. The Lake and beaches can be lots of fun. Murray Hill and Coventry are great places to spend an afternoon. Lots of people have hobbies and there are shows/fleamarkets/festivals all over the place.
Cleveland has gotten a bad rap. It is not a bad place with tons of things to do if you look.
