I don't think you're being fair to the east side suburbs. North Royalton is about 25 minutes from downtown. If you travel 25 minutes due east from downtown, you're probably in Willoughby, Wickliffe, or Waite Hill. Take a trip to Waite Hill and talk to me about west side superiority.

Plus, the eastern suburbs are more developed, and they've been that way longer. In a place like Willoughby or Mentor, essentially everyone's family lived in Cleveland or an inner ring burb at one point. You won't find the "pennsyltucky" effect until you get closer to Ashtabula county. Case in point: Geneva on The Lake. *cringe* Have you ever seen "People of Wal-Mart"?

I can understand what you're saying. The inner ring suburbs on the east side have fallen over the years.

To each their own.
