The Browns were pretty good last year but they didnt even make it into the playoffs. This season could be anything, we could win the superbowl or we could be the worst team in the league, anything can happen.

Im very disappointed in the Indians...They nearly made it to the world series last year and would have won, so everyone was suspecting them to at least make it to the world series this year...but now look at their record, one of the worst in the league.

As for the Cavs, I agree with you completely. They need to win a championship within the next 2 years and start a good solid franchise with better players for Lebron, or its over. I dont blame Lebron for wanting to leave though, theres no reason why Cleveland should hold him back if they cant offer anything. I still have high hopes for the Cavs this season and expect them to at least make it to the finals.

Yea...But anyother year you would make the playoffs with a 10-6 record...And could have easily won 12-13 games last year...I guarntee they make the postseason this year.

Indians have had a tough season...Victor getting hurt the first game of the season...And then trying to play through the pain was not good...Fausto getting hurt...Westbrook will be out like 2 seasons with his injury...CC prolly started his last game for the Indians two nights ago...It's a shame they choked a 3-1 lead against the Red Sox...They could have had a perfect season last year...Knocking off the two Baseball powerhouses in one postseason and winning the title....But no

Cavs will prolly make a move before the trade deadline midseason...Everything is up in the air, They need to get help soon or Bron is headed East...And the Cavs will be in Las Vegas or maybe Columbus? Hmmmmm maybe i want them to tank

I know that all landlords do not take care of their properties and that all tenants do not take care of their dwellings. This is as old as people (they've always needed a place to live and some of them are "messy" and "lazy").

I know most crime in Cleveland is committed by Blacks. However, most of them were born here and so were their parents. So, it is possible to have an orderly town, with them in it.

We don't have any jobs. So, people leave looking for work.

Integration did seem to ruin our (White's) neighborhoods. We hated being forced to live with Blacks and, if given the choice and the means, we fled it. Now it's just all Blacks, a few poor Whites and full of crime. I don't know why Blacks have so many criminals in their population, but it seems they do. Of course, with the increase of poverty among the White population, we've seen an increase in White crime. With Hispanic immigrants, we see lots of crime from them. At the same time we lose our tax base. So, cities cut back on cops. Naturally, crime keeps rising. Forget the stats, it's worse and worse.

However, it is possible to have a town with poor economy, shrinking population and low crime. There are places like that! Also, it is possible to have huge Black population and minority White population and low crime. Also, clean streets, even if most of the Blacks don't keep their house up as nice as most of the Whites. Race and economy can be "overcome," but we are as far away from that than I think we've ever been. "Affirmative Action," "Civil Rights Movement" and "Integration" seem like they have been huge failure. Everybody knows it too. Everyone! So, when do we get to quit pretending and start building a town that is livable for all of us? Well, ask Washington, it shoved all this crap down our throats. Columbus could not stop it and neither can City Hall, Chief of Police or The Board of Education. No one can, except Washington!

Even look at Feminism. Why should women care so much about "empowerment" if they got husband making 25 bucks an hour at factory, where only education needed is "on the job training."

Our National politicians believe in all this Free Trade and "Forced Equality" mumbo jumbo. Our Corporations profit from it, albeit short term thinking, betraying what appears to be, Greed. Our Media is as committed to it as Corporations and Washington. So, how can Columbus or City Hall defeat Washington, Media and Corporations? They can't. In the mean time we have lots of dupes running around. If you watch Queen Latifah interview Jared Taylor and you identify with Queen Latifah, then you will likely come away thinking that reality is just a conspiracy against you! (if you know what I mean)

So, our problems seem to be Washington, Huge Corporations lobbying Washington and a National Media that stirs up the worst in our people and elites. The good news is that is a very tiny group of people. The bad news is changing their minds is difficult.

Simple problem; difficult solution.

In the meantime, they say ethnic conflict could be around the corner. What a mess! Declining economy brought on by suicidal trade policies and Greed, Civil Rights Movement gone bananas and elites (Corporate, Media and Political) who treat their people like bugs. It ain't pretty!

Well, I have a question for you. Why is it that so many middle class and working class Blacks wanted to get out of those rough neighborhoods? Because they wanted to get away from the crime too. The last time I checked most blacks lived in certain neighborhoods pre-integration because they weren't able to live elsewhere, either through sundown laws or restrictive covenants, not allowing certain people to buy houses in certain places, even if they had the money to live there. What do you get? Many of them are stuck in the same neighborhoods with criminals. As for the criminals in the Black community, this is often what I have gathered: Lack of trust in law enforcement. If you don't call the police, then crimes can continue. I think this is why many blacks never called the police back in the old days:
a)the police were known for harrassment towards blacks(Don't say it never happened because it did happen in those days) and that caused alot of mistrust towards the police, in many cases, fear.
b)If you lived in the same neighborhood with a crook and you "snitched" on that crook, as some people call it, it could cost you your life and if you aren't going anywhere, you don't want to snitch.

Arrow Good Question!

It is my impression, that middle class Blacks lived in neighborhoods "separate" from lower class Blacks and often bordering middle class White neighborhoods. (Remember, the exception doesn't prove the rule).

In regards to every single member of a community "trusting/calling" the police: it is my impression that is not necessary for law enforcement to bring order to a town. Although, accepting, understanding and approving of police tactics (like strictly enforcing jay walking laws to prevent panhandling and boulevard strutting) helps. Particularly, when they give you a ticket for it!

I've never met a criminal or the mother of one, who thought he was guilty or treated fairly by the police. (Remember, the exception does not prove the rule).

I doubt the Cavs are headed anywhere...I dont think we would let that kind of thing happen again. Plus I seriously doubt if they did leave that they would go to Columbus, Cleveland is a much larger market area and they could make more money here.

The Cavs were supposed to make some big trades. The main thing that needs to happen for the Cavs is just get better players to help out Lebron. Right now Lebron is doing all the work on the team and nobody is stepping up, and not even Lebron was doing that good half the time last season, I lost count of how many last minute shots that he missed that could have saved the game.

As for what everybody else is talking about: The truth is that hardly anybody wants to live in the high crime neighborhoods, its just not the whites moving away. They call it the white flight but even back in the day a lot of blacks left those neighborhoods too. It was pretty much a rich flight, anybody with money left those neighborhoods as they should have, its just that most the blacks couldnt afford to move out before. In the eastside suburbs there is a very large amount of blacks who moved out of the city. The only way people will come back is if the neighborhoods improve, a lot of the people want to come back, but wont until its a safe and nice place to live.

Not to be too picky, but I'd call that Middle Class Flight, not "rich." And remember, most of that "middle class" held very unimpressive jobs and both husband and wife had to work very hard to make "the flight." Heck, often the kids had to pitch in too!

Most of those people made tremendous sacrifices and endured great suffering and loss to make that "trail of tears," that "holocaust," that "atlantic crossing," that "ethnic cleansing." The wounds they sustained are still painful and their descendants will never forget their sacrifices and their suffering. Nor should they ever.

Well, The Cavs is a old team thats been here since like 1972. And, the Cavs have been through a lot worse like back in 2002 when we had like 19 wins or whatever and theyre were even bad years before that and the Cavs always stayed here. I was kind of surprised at Seattle though, thats a big market and they had to have another reason to move them to Oklahoma City or whatever which is a much smaller market in really the middle of nowhere. I dont know the whole deal though.
