Chef, why do you think domestic violence laws should be done away with?

Thanks for asking! I think couples fight. So, locking them up for it seems stupid.

So, they didn't have any choice but to beat him and quite frankly, he was lucky they didn't just shoot him dead. However, our media used that event to stir up resentments that they knew would exist in most urban Black communities. As a result, L.A. got trashed and a lot of innocent people got murdered.
That course of events is not unique in America. Hence, our terrible race relations.
Furthermore, our media is never held accountable for what they do and they do not care about the innocent people who will suffer because of their actions. So, this will continue.
Remember, the Black community is not the only one they exploit.

They didn't need to kill him. I watched the video. Tghe whole thing. They showed it on National Geographic. Yes he was high as a kite. Yes he was a criminal speeding and resisting arrest and coming at cops. However, once a suspect is on the ground and not moving, anything else is overboard. I understand alot of cops have to put up with alot of crap. With that said, a retired NYC police officer told me that there are certain procedures a police officer has to take and that what those LAPD officers did was going too far. Yes the cops beat him because he was attacking officers, but once you're on the ground and not moving, there is no need for anything else.

Pirate,
This is from the opening paragraph to The Wikipedia article, "There is no part of the tape that shows Mr. King attacking the officers, as some have claimed.[2]" This is obviously false. Yet, 17 years later, this is what shows up in a Wikipedia article. And this assertion in the article is from a source that is supposed to provide "the entire video."

That is Wikipedia. I watched National Geographic, so I was given the rest of it.
I am not saying anymore about Rodney King.
You mentioned alot of people wouldn't like integration. Well, doesn't a person have a right to live wherever he/she desires?

Last thing to say about Rodney King is this: Blacks should not have rioted and the Government should have cracked down on them so hard that they would rather eat **** than riot, because apparently, that is what it would take.

Why not let a person live wherever he/she pleases? If you have the money to buy a house in a certain neighborhood, why not be able to buy that house? Instead of "forced" integration, why not let anyone buy a house wherever they please. If I want to buy a house in a neighborhood I think will be safe for my children(by the way I am still single and don't have any children), don't I have that right? Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If I am going to be happy living in a gated community with a Starbucks, grand bookstore, and clean streets, don't I have that right. If you want to live in a certain place, don't you have the same right too? Why not just every person have the same rights and punish people according to the crimes they committ?

It's chaos to punish a person if they committ a crime?
What is chaos to me is being denied my rights. Why should a person put up with being denied rights? Why should anyone.
