A friend sent this to me -- check out this girl's perspective and excitement with moving to Cleveland.

Why I'm moving to Cleveland OHIO

There's a definite obvious buzz as of late!

Great article!

If all goes well, I am hoping to relocate to Cleveland in the Spring of next year. I too get the "Cleveland!!??" or "Ohio!!!??" when I tell people I want to move there. I want to move to Cleveland for the lower COL, the culture, the world famous Cleveland Clinic and the people. After several years of setbacks, I think my goal will finally be met. Fingers crossed.

Good luck, Minervah.

Stories like this one are the reason I come to this message board.

My family and I love Cleveland and were planning on trying to move there this summer. Health issues prevented moving at this time, but we made another visit there in May and it just reaffirms our affection for that city. I was born in Minnesota and now live in South Dakota. I became a Browns fan due to Bernie. My wife and I visited for the first time 4 years ago and we can't say enough about our love for the area.

Thanks again for sharing the positive story.

Good luck to you too. My target date is next May. I too have been planning for about four years. Ill health and financial reversals have slowed me down but they're not stopping me.

I'm going for the Indians. I have to. My friend living in Cleveland is a life-long Indians fan and she won't let me in the city unless I promise to go to their games with her. I am originally from Chicago and even after 34 years in Portland, still root for the Cubs. But I can cheer for the Indians when I get to Cleveland.

I know people who live in Downtown Cleveland, they LOVE it! Obviously, there are bad neighborhoods just like any big city. Cleveland is has great culture and a wonderful night life. Good Luck Minervah and welcome to the Indians Fan Club!!

What a neat article! It is really exciting to see people living downtown and being so positive about what the city has to offer. If we could get jobs in Cleveland, we would move there.

Well I'm "repping" Cleveland from here in the Rose City (no plans to move though, just being a good civic booster from the West Coast).

And of course I wear my Tribe gear frequently, although (O/T) the idiot politicians here just banned ALL local schools from having nicknames like Indians, Braves, etc., even though local Indian tribes came out in favor of them keeping their nicknames.

Seriously? They can't even use those names now?
THAT is ridiculous.
I understand people being upset about Chief Wahoo. I don't agree but I understand.
But there is NOTHING WRONG with the name INDIANS, BRAVES etc etc....
Ridiculous.
