I'm having no luck finding a place that is willing to put new lenses into my old frames. This was never a problem in the podunk town that I'm from. Can anyone recommend a mom & pop sort of place that is willing to do this as the chains (America's Best, Lenscrafters, etc.) are not able to?

That's going to be very hard to find.
Get some new frames. Once your glasses get to the point where the lenses are popping out, they just aren't ever the same no matter how much you get them repaired.
<--- lifelong glasses wearer. I feel your pain.

yeah, i can think of a couple places that might do it for ya. There's Park optical with a location on north park boulevard in university heights and another location in pepper pike i think. actually they have an amazing array of european frames, competitive prices and lots of unique things!!

id reccomend simply getting new frames though
