Looking for recommendations for one excellent home inspector in Northeast Ohio. If you can explain why the home inspector is excellent, that would be helpful in selecting one.

I highly recommend David Macy (Home Safe Home Inspections | Performing Home Inspections in Parma, Brecksville, Broadview Heights, North Royalton, Strongsville and surrounding areas.). I had him come out to inspect a home I was going to purchase. He doesn't do much small talk but really got to business. He identified a ton of problems (even as detailed as finding the wiring was bad in the house by testing all the outlets and going into the breaker box). He literally inspected every corner of the house inside and out; it was unbelievable. His home report was top notch including pictures of literally everything he did with problem items circled. The price also wasn't bad ($300-350).

Needless to say I passed on that house. I ended up buying another one but when I called David to do another inspection he was booked a full week out! I went with Camelot and they were awful. The guy missed quite a few things (such as the floor rotting under a shower) and the report didn't have half the details of the David Macy inspection.

I don't typically review places but the level of detail he provided was amazing, you won't regret it if you go with him.
