Be careful of what? That's a silly comment; there are always people in NY, SF, etc looking to leave for smaller, cheaper areas which still have many of the amenities of which they've become accustomed. You sound like one of those wide-eyed transplants who moves into a big(ger) city and becomes its #1 booster, usually by crapping on where you come from in the process.

Ok, this thread has gone on long enough. There's a separate city vs city forum where you can compare 2 specific cities, this thread wasn't about that, at least when it was started.
Now I don't see it going anywhere constructive.
