I grew up on the Westside of Cleveland in the working class area known as Old Brooklyn. It was a great place to grow up, but I recall many horrible winter experiences, especially when I took my snow sled down the hill at the Zoo at what they now call WildlifeWay & Fulton Pkwy. by the apartments. The hill was so steep and so much fun, but once I hit a something like a tree trunk or something and went airbourn. The Icesicles were always so huge on our house, my mother would always hang out the window with a broom stick and wack the icesicles off the gutters because she thought the gutters would break away from the house with all the weight of the ice. I was so scard that my Mommie was going to fall out the window that I would pull on her dress and hold her legs. After childhood horrors, I recall my first fender bender was in a Plymouth Volare on a slight incline, I lost control on hidden ice under the snow. For those that don't have any snow experience I'd have to say that driving will be your biggest obstical. You will have to learn how to drive all over again, than just when you get brave and think you got it all under control, you'll wipe out. It takes real guts to put up with Cleveland winters, though the westside of Cleveland gets nothing compared to Chardon, Ohio or places near to Chardon. And most of the citys in snow towns have these monster trucks called "PLOWS" that plow the streets nice and clear, by relocating snow, piles of snow in your driveway apron..... So now it's shovel time!!! Have a few around, especially after the plows go down your street, lest you be plowed in until the next thaw cycle. ......Good Luck
