Anyone have an feedback on their experiences with shipping their car? any tips on companies to use? We are moving from NorCal to Cleveland in a few weeks and have decided to ship one of our cars vs driving both. (drive the Accent, ship the Explorer)...

Thanks for any input. This is new territory for us. We usually have had enough drivers along for the trip to drive both.

Just call local places to you and google local places here in Cleveland. That is what I did for my GF from south Florida. Do NOT go with a national carrier unless you want to pay a lot more for the same service. I ended going with a Florida company as they were a little better price then the ones I could find around here. It ended up costing around $800 for aprrox. the 1200 miles it took to get here to give you an idea. Best of luck and safe travels!

I've bought a couple cars out of Oklahoma to ship to North Carolina and it went well. It might take a week to deliver. It was 4 years ago and cost me $500-600, I suspect it is a couple hundred dollars more these days with fuel and trucking companies are stiffing people pretty good nowadays. I have bought/sold cars on ebay and this link might give you some info auto shipping | eBay
