Hey there,

Does Cleveland have a local independent newspaper that also has local music and art news as well as classifieds? When we lived in Buffalo we had the Artvoice and in NorCal we have had similar papers. Also we had something called a "pennysaver" or "community news".

We are moving to Cleveland first week of April and have been looking on Craigslist for rentals and its FULL of SPAM as well as large rental companies that have lots of mulitple units..none of which seem to have very positive reviews.

We have found more private owners tend to list in the smaller, local papers vs Craigslist and I was hoping to be able to access one of theses on line or as soon as we get feet on ground there and maybe have more luck.

We are a married couple in our 40's-50's with great references and steady income. Just need a nice apartment/house that will take our two great small non-agressive breed dogs. Can do a 1-2 bed...even a larger studio or 3 bd. Looking more towards the west side of the city and its burbs but also Little Italy, Cleveland or Shaker Heights. (trying to keep the commute to the VA hospital at about 30min or less...ish)

Thank you!

Cleveland Scene'

Should have most of what you are looking for. If you can live in Little Italy, Cle Heights, or Shaker, do it! It will be much easier than the west side burbs.

Awesome bjimmy! TY. This is exactly what I was looking for. We tend to get most of our news from these papers

I sent you a PM.

I'd also recommend adding Cleveland Heights to your list...specifically Cedar-Fairmount and Ceder-Lee. Even the Euclid Hts Blvd area and Coventry could work as well.
