Are there any colleges or educational institutions or businesses in Akron or Cleveland area that offer courses on residential home maintenance or improvement?

Not a college but the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center offers classes for Home Maintenance (Plumbing, Electrical etc.)

Home Maintenance Classes - Cuyahoga Valley Career Center

There is also a program that helps in Cleveland Hts

I know some cities offer programs through the YMCA for things too.

If you want to go to an actual college, you'll have to take a semester of courses at a place like Tri-C for things like Carpentry or Plumbing. Several different courses in Carpentry for example

Many of the trade unions have training programs related to their trades. Upon completion, they assist in job placemnt.

Would the unions allow non-union members/citizens to attend these programs?
