I was looking at a house down w 105th street in Cleveland in the lakewood section. Is there any areas near there that would be considered a "stay inside past 9pm" area or is the crime rate there pretty low?

If you were anywhere along West 105th Street, you were in Cleveland, not Lakewood. No part of Lakewood extends east of West 117th Street.

(Side note to Kamms: I once had an East Side friend insist to me that West 65th and Detroit was "Lakewood". )

Were you near Clifton or thereabouts? That's a Cleveland neighborhood called "Edgewater", and as far as I know, that area's still pretty good. One of Cleveland's best, in fact. Of course, crime can happen anywhere.

If you were closer to Madison or Lorain Avenues, that area is definitely sketchier.
