North Olmsted is nice, but there are better communities on the West Side. The nice thing is, the west side communities are so densely populated (generally speaking) and close to each other - it's very easy to commute to other areas as opposed to the East Side traffic. For rental properties, you can find very nice sized houses in the West Park/Kamm's Corner area of Cleveland if you want to live in the city. Lakewood and Rocky River also offer affordable housing, and both are located on the lake and have access to the beach. Not to mention, minutes from down town Cleveland. If you have children, all of the communities on the west have pretty good schools(aside from Lorain/Elyria), although I have heard some things about Fairview being kind of poor academically. The job market for RN's and Paralegals should be relatively plentiful on the west side. If you provide more info about what you are looking for I may be able to help you more.

I know a few people who work in the Cleveland Clinic who said that there are plenty of opportunities for Registered Nurses. You can go to ccf.org and check out their job board and search the different positions available. Also check out uhhospitals.org which is for University Hospitals. I'm not to sure about the job market for paralegals though.

I'm not to familiar about the westside, but the above poster gave some good suggestions.

I live west of Cleveland and almost all the areas west of the city are nice areas aside from some areas in Elyria and Lorain. Some good areas are North Olmsted, North Ridgeville, West Park, Avon Lake, Amherst, Avon, Sheffield Lake, Rocky River, and sometimes Lakewood can be okay too. Basically most of the west Cleveland area is ok to move in.
