Traveling around Cleveland on a boat is a great experience. Too bad he wasn't taken out into Lake Erie for a night swim, but he did get to tie up to a Flats dock.

Default Glassdoor ranks Cleveland 9th for job seekers

Glassdoor (never heard of it) is getting a ton of free PR for its 2018 ranking of the best cities in the U.S. for job seekers, considering only the 50 most populated cities. Cleveland was ranked ninth, largely because of its excellent wage/cost of housing ratio.

https://www.glassdoor.com/List/Best-...LST_KQ0,20.htm

WKYC featured this ranking on its evening report this evening.

https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/lo...b/95-605386651

Cincinnati was ranked 4th and Columbus 15th. Pittsburgh was ranked 1, Indianapolis 3, and Detroit 10. Cleveland's city score of 4.2 was the same as 5 of the 8 cities ranked ahead of it. Pittsburgh at number one had a city score of 4.7.

The survey ranks only hiring opportunity, cost of living and job satisfaction. In amenities, Cleveland ranks higher IMO than all of the cities ahead of it, except Boston, especially if someone is interested in high culture, pro sports, and a boating culture.

"Larder," a deli on West 29th St., was mentioned in this article, one of several linked in the Cleveland.com article. Larder apparently only opened in April.

It's new to me. Has anyone experienced it yet? If so, what's the parking situation?

It received a good review from Cleveland.com, but only a 2 star rating.

What about Plum, another Ohio City restaurant mentioned in the Travel & Leisure article.

I know nothing about Plum, but IMO the name is pretty cool given that Plum was once Cleveland's nickname (anyone else remember that slogan from the '70s... "New York may be the Big Apple, but Cleveland's a Plum"?).

Just glanced at the menu... Interesting. A $100 caviar plate available in a list of $6 to $8 small plates. That's something you don't see every day.

Some nice things in the works for downtown and near-downtown: Pedestrian drawbridge, Progressive office opening up downtown, and playground at Edgewater.
