I don't really come on the Cleveland forum that much anymore and I don't live in Cleveland right now,but I keep an eye on Cleveland news everyday and that total is probably about right.Murders and crime as a total I believe are down in Cleveland, but there has been alot of random crime this year.I mean some people who were not doing anything wrong have been randomly shot and killed this year.People who were just sitting on thier front porch or walking down the street. Its really sad.Thats the difference I've seen between this year and years like 2007,2006,and 2005.

Yeah, a lot of random stuff this year. There was some last year, but the majority of them last year seemed to be gangs or drug related. Of course there was cookie Thomas and the 4 innocent people killed on the 4th of july among many others, but this year seems to be even more random.

I believe they said that most the crimes this year are about the same as last year but a few are even higher, rape was up like 60% earlier in the year. The only crime they said is down is homicides, but lately we have been catching up with murders almost everyday now. That, and we still have 3 or so more warm months along with the deadliest months of the year in Cleveland, August and December. We'll see how it goes.

3 more murders last night in Cleveland, and also 5 other separate shootings. That should bring the total to 64 or 65 but on Cleveland.com they said its 60 and we had 81 at this time last year.
