No. The previous list is the cities only. We tried tracking metro but the info is too hard to get. The following metro list was abandoned earlier this month.

Wow. So Cuyahoga County already had at the very least 120 murders? Thats pretty bad. Thats not even the metro though, add in the other counties and its even higher. I think Cleveland had 62 so far and we havent had a murder in a couple days (that Ive heard of) so its looking pretty good for Cleveland compared to last year. Also, I thought Clevelands population was 440,000? I know on the census page its like 410,000 but thats ridiculous. That would have meant we lost over 65,000 people in 7 years.
Im going to make some estimations. Cleveland should end the year with around 105 homicides. Cincinnati around 65. Columbus around 95. Youngstown around 30. I dont know enough about the other cities to make estimations yet. |

Right and wrong ... Cleveland lost 34,049 in the last 7 years, not 65k. Current population: 438,042 Last 5 years: -5,288 -5,617 -6,443 -6,937 -5,067 Total: -29,352 Avg./year over the last 5 years: -5,870 http://www.census.gov/popest/cities/...2007-04-39.xls |

So our population is about 440,000 thats what I thought it was.I meant that if we were at 400k or 405k or whatever that guy said that we would have lost about 65,000 people since 2000.
On another note. I still havent heard of any more homicides in Cleveland, which is a good thing. Its been like 4 or more days now. Usually August is one of the deadliest months in Cleveland. So either we havent had any or they stopped reporting them like that one guy said about some other cities. |
