Wow, its good to see Cleveland doing better this year. Seems like Cincinnati and Columbus are having bad year though, like the opposite of last year. The homicide rate in Cincinnati is even higher than Cleveland now.

As for 85 homicides, it was an estimate. According to that chart, weve had 83 so far.

#39 is the count I have for Dayton (24.4/100k). They have a homicide map that stops on Sept. 16 at #35.

Sept. 30 - Cincinnati’s homicide count stands at 56 after two fatal shootings Tuesday. (CPD cites 54 murders through the end of September.)

I don't trust the Enquirer for its math. They report #58 on Oct. 6 and starting Oct. 10th published news of 7 murders since then. They make the police stats seem questionable. So far for Cincinnati I'm seeing #65.
I thought the news reported that on Oct. 31st, Cincinnati had its 63rd homicide? How did we get to 65?

I'm convinced that Ohio news sources can't count. The Youngstown homicide map Map Builder::Geographical locations of homicides occuring within the city of Youngstown, Ohio shows #24 on Sept. 16. That agrees with my notes and in the chart above #24 was posted on Oct. 10.

This one was reported without a number:

When was this declared a homicide? If it was, then yes we might be at 25 for the year.

We have #24 on September 16 via the map with
list of names, and the one you just reported is #25?

The dumpster case we may never hear about again.
Possibly a drug overdose and someone got rid of the body.

Oh, I see. The 24th homicide happened on Oct 10, and I linked to the 25th? Can you provide more information on the Oct 10 incident?
