October 10 is the date of the post referencing the last known, or member posted, murder in Youngstown.
Until recently that list used to have a column heading for the date of the post and the post number. It made it easier to look up a past post if more information was wanted, such as the date the death occurred.
In the future the dates of death will be emphasized. When that date isn't available the date of the news article or reporting member's post will be used.
The list was established with the understanding that it is not a scientific study, might not be accurate, is subject to corrections, updates, etc.

as of this morning cleveland has 87 homicides. its nice to see that this year is much better than last. maybe cleveland can stay under 100 killings , which has only happened a handful of times in the past 40-50 yrs.

I expect around 20-30 homicides in Cleveland in December. It's our deadliest month annually.

Im not sure why Clevelands deadliest month is December. Well its either December or August.
If you look at the stats and the rate, so far this year weve had about 8.5 murders a month. That means we should have about 5 more in November and December is always above average so thats about 13 or so murders estimated. That would end the year with about 105. But its hard to estimate and predict with something like homicide numbers, those are peoples lives that are gone forever. Still, 105 is a lot better than 135 so we have something to be happy about, that would be 30 less lives we lost this year in Cleveland.

Very doubtful. december is clevelands most violent month anually. I say 100-110 murders total.
