There has recently been two more murders and a couple more people shot. I am estimating the murder count to be around 14 now, nothing is official though yet.

Of course it's not murder. It's called a homicide. Look up the definition and come back Good day sir.

Cleveland.com hasnt really been doing that many updates and right now isnt keeping up with the murder count. I dont trust Cleveland.com all the time anyways because last year it said Cleveland had 147 homicides by November, and we only had 134 for the whole year.

Yeah, that's true. And the count for 2007 was officially at 135. A death was changed to a homicide after the new years.

Oh yeah I forgot about that one too. The feds will probably mess it up again and say that we got like 80 for the whole year lol. 135 is tied with the number we had like back in 1995 I think, but all the years before that it was way higher. but from like 1997-2004 Cleveland was doing a lot better as far as homicides.

But really that was ridiculous for 2006 that they said that Cleveland had 75 homicides. We had 119 in 2006, and it said that everywhere. On the news stations on the internet and the Police released a report saying the total for 2006 was 119. I dont know how the FBI got it messed up that badly.

It's funny hearing media outlets talk about modern-day homicide records in cities. Today's records aren't any more accurate than they were before 1960. Check out some of those old records on the older midwest and east coast cities if you can get a hold of them. It's a good glimpse into what cities had a deep history in crime previous to the 70's.

Clevelands homicides were in the 300s for sometime in the 70s.

One thing that kind of scared me since a lot of people are saying its true is that a lot of the missing people in Cleveland were actually killed and are in waste dumps and the bottom of the river and the lake... Like I said I dont know if thats completely true but Cleveland does have the 2nd most missing people of any city in America (thousands), and you always hear stories of people dumping bodies into the river... Kind of a scary thought.

So if thats true at all then Cleveland probably has a lot more homicides than the records say. Im just going to hope that its not true since we already have such a high murder rate in the city.

I'm sure there have been many bodies disposed of in those ways. I can't easily estimate how much, but I'm sure a small percentage of the missing peoples in Cleveland were victims of homicides and won't ever really be known about.
