2008 Cleveland Homicides (Toledo, Akron, Dayton: crime, duplex, murders)

I thought I would make a new thread about the homicides this year and any crime that people want to discuss. I am pretty sure Cleveland has only had 3 homicides so far this year, but maybe more from the 2 storekeepers that were shot on Woodland Ave. today. So far this year Cleveland is doing better but its impossible to tell this early.

We will just have to wait till spring and summer come, then we'll be able to see how it will be. The cold is probably keeping the numbers down.

LOL that is such an interesting comment. I just hope we have a better year than last.

The city of Cleveland has just had 2 more murders in the last 2 days. The current homicide count is at 6.

Yeah, we are off to a relatively good start. It's tough to actually base anything off this month since homicides will only rise in the upcoming months in to the summer.

There was just a large standoff in Cleveland (Cable Avenue in Slavic Village) and there was SWAT team there. They confiscated over 30 high powered rifles from A duplex on Cable Ave. near E 65th St. Currently I think the homicide count is at 6 but maybe 7 by now.

Pretty sure it's higher now. And 3 people were shot in the Flats a couple nights ago as well, not sure if any died.

I think the current count is at 7, but Im not completely sure. We are still way down from the number we had last year, I think by this time last year Cleveland had around 20 already. So we are either at 7, or they arent keeping the list updated on the news and Cleveland.com. Akron had 3 murders already. Im not sure about any other cities I havent heard anything.
