Red line is both great and awful. Great because you can travel a long distance in little time. Went from University circle to triskett in about 30-35 minutes yesterday. University circle station is nice. As is little italy. Can't say the same for some of the others. Most don't have any security present and you're just kinda trapped. Garbage is everywhere - on platforms even, but especially everywhere along the tracks. Couches, mattresses, countless tires, broken bottles, chip bags, etc. You see this constantly from the airport to Ohio city, where it lets up a bit. It really does make cleveland look like a dump to an outsider, which is a shame because it's a great place.
A lot of stations are also pretty empty if it's not rush hour, which is a little awkward.

I know, public transportation systems everywhere have some seedy stations and other problems. But I really don't want to know how many people who ride the red line don't even pay to do it. There is nothing that forces you to pay. The cops might check. I've seen this happen once and they did get like 3 people in the car. These free rides really add up though, it's ridiculous.

The cars look really bright, nice, and comfortable inside though. The actual experience in terms of comfort and speed is much better than the mbta where I live, honestly.
