Euclid does have a nice boat ramp/marina at Wildwood Park which is close to good fishing off of the hospital and Sims Park. That's the closest/best boat launch for a lot of us on the east side.

I grew up in Euclid, and I think the worst thing that happened to Euclid was the loss of its big factories, the Fischer Body plant, for example, and Chase Brass. This left many people in poverty. I think the possitive things about Euclid are reasonably priced homes, pretty lakefront parks, some really nice churches(I recommend Bible Baptist Temple,on Dille road. The minister there is a true man of God),lots of families with kids, beautiful library ,pools, some nice little restaurants, for Catholic people there is the Lady of Lourdes Shrine(built in the 1800's,and a nice blue-collar feel to the city...Aligal

I think the crime in Euclid is still petty, there are a lot of bank robberies but those are everywhere and they always get caught as it is a federal crime. Aside from the murder that is unsolved here currently of the school teacher, I still like it here and will stay for at least another year til the housing market picks up a bit then sad to say but I will be leaving as I my son will then be 3 and he will NOT attend a Euclid school.

Also to add, another positive is the Euclid police department. They are truly on their toes and have a quick response time and are intolerant of stuff--you can live in a newer city or neighborhood, but if they have a young police force, I wouldnt feel any safer there.

I am doing a community assessment for a Community Nursing class I am taking at Cleveland State and need as many opinions as possible.
Current and former residents or employees of the city would be best.
If you would, could you please list your occupation???
Thanks in advance to anyone that wants to help out a stressed out nursing student

First off the biggest weakness is of course the drugs in violence, this is very wide in this city ive had drugs sold right in my pizza shop ive had them offered to me for payment of a pizza, my appartment complex is loaded with drug attics and the streets are crawling with them, i am forever seeing the bus stop shot up, or blood trails along the sidewalks, if you ask me this town is no different then crime ridden east cleveland , i would not ask anyone to move to such a low horrible town

Isn't Wildwood Park technically in Cleveland?

Quick question for you guys: are there apartments/condos on the lake in Euclid or Willowick? If so, what do you think of them? I'm considering a possible job in the I-271 corridor and Lakewood is just too far away as a commute. Thanks!

there are lots of apartment complexes through out euclid, some are nice, but as in all complexes you run the risk of roaches and alot of drugs, i would suggest staying away from any complexes on or around euclid ave and stick with the ones on lakeshore blvd
