Valerio's is very good. They moved up the hill a little and a place called Etna's is now where Valerio's used to be. I have not eaten there yet.

Corbo's is for sale! LOL I thought about making an offer on the Cibu next door, but yea, I can't afford that.

I avoid the feast like the plague. WAY to crowded. REAL Clevelanders go to Little Italy enough that we don't need a festival to get us down there. hehehe

I went to Mama Santo's and I will never go back again. The food was average to fair at best and the staff was horrible. Our waitress was fine and polite but the owner and the rest of the staff were just plain rude. They got a thing or two to learn about manners over there!

I would say Mama Santa's is on the bottom of the list compared to the other restaurants on the street. They're only known for being affordable, but they do have good pizza.
Most restaurants owners in the neighborhood are characters .

I ate at Angelo's Nido Italia before--on my to do list when I get back, very good food and price. It feels like a true old gangster type of place.

Prestis is absolutely great. Inexpensive quick food that is still authentic.

There is always a line a presti's not matter time of day. I like that they stay open later on summer evenings.
I usually go there after church on Sunday's too. A good brunch kind of place.

Not sure if there's a relation. Very well could be. I know Mr. Valerio was born in Sicily too.

Valerios Ristorante Little Italy
Etna
the owner/chef of etna is Pepe Pilumeli (from Sicily)
and of valeios is Valerio Iorio (from Florence)
they are brother in-laws
as for the restaurants two of the best places i have ever eaten, Valerio's veal tortellini with prosciutto and peas in a cream sauce is to die for as well as his orechetti
and Pepe does amazing seafood(as all sicilians do), exspecially his lobster stuffed raviolli in a red caviar cream sauce with shrimp
