Default All hail Trevor Bauer?

The Indians have an atrocious record against play-off teams. With the loss of Carrasco and Salazar, it will be a huge upset for the Indians to best Boston.

https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/r...16J/story.html

The keys to the series likely will be whether Trevor Bauer can deliver two heroic starts, and whether Corey Kluber is fully healed and can join Bauer in delivering three games to Cleveland's shut-down bullpen.

Of course, if Bauer and Kluber post wins in the first two games in Cleveland, would it really surprise anyone if the resurrected Josh Tomlin, the "Little Cowboy," delivers a knock-out punch in Fenway?

Of course, the experts expect a different outcome:

Just remember that Bauer was a third pick in the MLB draft and nobody likes to compete or celebrate more than the mercurial Californian. This series is Bauer's opportunity to fulfill his ambitions and make baseball history.

I think the tribe will beat boston. Sox tired themselves out with all this big papi stuff. Just looking forward to repping Cleveland at fenway.

I don't the Indians record against playoff teams matter at this point. Just like the Cavs record against the Warriors didn't matter. The Indians have gotten a lot of disrespect through most of the season not just because of the injuries. The Indians are in a small market if Kluber, Kipnis, Lindor, Ramariez and Miller played in NY, BOS, LA, Chicago; they'd be on Sportscenter every night. Some still can't believe LeBron won a title in Cleveland after many of them said he wouldn't But, also everybody and their mama is enamored with the Cubs plus it's Big Papi's last year and most of the national media (i.e. ESPN) would climax to see the Red Sox win it all so he can go out on top. A lot of people feel Tito took a step down for wanting to manage the Indians because he doesn't have the star power like he did in Boston when they won those two World Series titles.

Francona was disrespected and effectively fired by the Red Sox management.

Boston Red Sox - Ignore the spin - the Red Sox fired Terry Francona - The Boston Globe

Terry Francona finally fires back at Boston Red Sox owners

There likely is nobody in the Indians organization that personally wants to defeat the Rex Sox more than Francona.

Sox ownership is nonsense. I worked for the Red Sox for two years- dudes are just slimy. Zero loyalty. Francona is right- they don't really care much about baseball. It's not about the game to them, it's about getting luxury boxes rented out (and they're not even that great compared to luxury boxes in other ballparks).

The people of Boston, however, still really respect Francona. I've talked to many who still bemoan that fact that he's gone and how disrespectful it was. A lot of people here have been semi-Tribe fans for the last couple years, especially this year with Napoli on the team. I anticipate that ends tomorrow night, but still nice to see that some Bostonians are still rational sports fans.

Yeah I definitely think Tito wants to beat the Red Sox after the way they treated him. They didn't show him any love after he broke the drought for that team and won them another title. He's showing how great of a manager he is by leading guys, who most people is a step down from what he had in Boston, to the playoffs. He is definitely a AL Manager of the Year candidate.

I'm curious, what did you used to do for the Red Sox? Also, is the ownership worse than the Dolans ownership?
