So cal,

Don't worry, Browns fans are alive and rowdy as ever.

About the roof, it was talked about a couple years ago for the possibility of holding other events besides the 8+ Browns home games a year, but you really don't have any reason to fear (not to mention public would not allow if it were to come from tax dollars and waaaay too long of a profit return time period if private somehow wanted it). Honestly it was just brought up as a idea, I believe mostly around the time Detroit hosted the Super Bowl. Besides, Downtown has the Q and Wolstein Center for almost any other type of "other" event than a Browns game.

We're still selling out tickets (even in blizzards: i.e. Buffalo game 2007), harassing opponent's fans, and throwing our plastic beer bottles ...since they took away our GLASS ones... Just come visit sometime for a home game and see for yourself.

They should have thought about putting a roof on the stadium when they were building it like 10 years ago. I think it would have cost a lot less if they did it before. I havent heard anymore talk about it though since a few years ago, I think they gave up on the idea. I actually forgot that Cleveland had a basketball team around 2000-2002. I hardly ever heard anything about them and if they would have left then I dont think anyone would have really cared. Once Lebron got drafted he put a lot of attention on the Cavs.

Cleveland WILL win a championship in the next 2 years. I am very sure of that. Once the new Cavs get settled with the combination of Lebron, Ben Wallace, Joe Smith, Zydrunas, Daniel Gibson, Damon Jones, not to mention the other good players, Im sure the Cavs will be one of the best in the NBA. I was very dissapionted that the Indians got beat by the Red Sox though. All the Indians had to do was win 1 more game and then they could have beat the rockies easily, we would have had a championship. Anyways though the Indians will do just as good this year, Im pretty sure.

I agree w/ every point you've made, esp: a dome on he Stadium-- I know we love to brag about Cleveland hardiness, but it's time for a dome (even as expensive, now, that it would be). A retractable one would be nice. Too much revenue is lost by the bad weather and so much more could be gained w/ multiple uses in a controlled climate. Plus, Cleveland could finally host a Super Bowl, a college bowl game and be on the regular circuit (like Indy and St. Louis) for an NCAA hoops Final 4...

Not to mention we'd be much more suitable than downtown Detroit b/c we have the rapid transit moving people in & out (and around) downtown... visitors would esp like the ease of the Airport Rapid (Red) line... 2 years ago in Detroit for the Super Bowl, everyone had to drive in, find a parking lot at the edge of downtown, and either bus it, cab it or jam on the skimpy, one-way People Mover as Woodward Ave was closed to cars.

I also remain sick about the Indians' last fall. We threw away a GOLDEN opportunity. Worst of all, as I keep telling my buddies, is that Boston, after our amazing comeback in Game 2 and our beatdown at (what was) the Jake, in Game 4, had essentially packed it in and were ready to head home, clean out their lockers and hit the vaca trail... Manny all but said as much w/ is famed comment that losing to Cleveland (as opposed to the Yankees) wouldnt' be the worst thing in the world... Championships and any sport require skill and luck; and baseball's probably the quirkiest of all the sports to win in a short series... as talented as the Tribe was and is, we may never get that close again (w/ these guys, at least). I'm thinking now that both LeBron & Co. and even the well-stocked Browns, probably w/ Brady at the helm, have a better shot than the Indians, now.... but you never know...

... but last October, the World Series was soooo within our grasp... OUCH!!!!

Im very, very tired of defending Cleveland as a city and the Sports teams.
One good thing about living in Philadelphia is that I can say "I'm a Browns fan. Always have been, always will. If you don't like it, you can go ... (assorted expletives can be used here)." And the Philadelphia sports fans understand! And leave me alone. LMAO.

Im a die hard Cleveland sports fan, but its still just a game. I would never fight anybody over a sports team or anything its just not worth it. Just by Cleveland winning a championship we will be getting back at everyone that ever talked bad about Cleveland and our sports (especially the people in our own city). I think the Indians have as good as a chance as they did last year. Manny should be ashamed of himself though. Cleveland used to be his team and he crushed our hopes again.

I did like that Kenny Lofton came back though. When he went up to bat for the first time I remember everyone in the stadium stood up and started clapping for him. It brought back old memories when we had a really good group of guys in the 90s with Kenny, Omar, David Justice, Manny, and a lot of other good people from like 94-98.

The Cavs got a very nice win against the Pistons last night. They beat them 89-73.What makes it better is that Detroit is having a very good year, and they were coming off a blowout win over Denver.the Cavs have an 8 game winning streak at home now,and Lebron is just a few points away from becoming the all time leading scorer in Cavs history.Lebron is a great player.I watch every game, and he always has a very good game. And hes not a 40 something consecutive games where he has scored more than 20 points in all of them.I really hope Lebron and the Cavs win the NBA championship this year.

I made a mistake in this post. The Cavs would face the Celtics in the second round and the Pistons in the Eastern Conference Chamionship game.

I dont think it really matters which one there going to have to play. They will have to play that team, or the team that beat that team either way if they make it to the Eastern Conference finals and the NBA finals. The Cavs have the ability to beat every team in the NBA. The Nuggets always seem to give the Cavs a hard time though, but the Nuggets probably wont even make the 1st round. The Cavs have already beat the Celtics 2 times this season and they have beat Detroit.

Man, maybe you live too far away. I'd fight for Cleveland sports and most of my neighbors. You honestly may be a minority in that aspect--most will at least spout off verbally any chance they get.

We wouldn't face the Nuggets in the playoffs unless they make it to the NBA chamionship and we did too.Thier in the Western Conference and The Cavs are in the Eastern Conference. But yes everytime The Cavs play Denver in the regular season,Denver beats us.I live in Colorado right now in Colorado Springs. When the Cavs are playing the Nuggets at the Pepsi Center I usually go to the game. The first time I went the Cavs lost to them 90-89.Then I went to a game last November and the Nuggets beat the Cavs 120-100.And the Cavs don't play them any better at home either. But it really doesn't matter if The Cavs lose to them, because as I already siad both teams are in different Conferences.
