Default Moving to Cleveland area

Moving to Cleveland area with 2 small kids. Must rent for time being, interested in Shaker Heights, specifically North of Shaker Square. Saw rental listing for place on Cheshire near Kendall. Pics look nice, how is the neighbor hood?

Ive got family living all over ohio/Cleveland area. I only visit there. I hate to say it but compared to where I have lived wich is Dallas, St. Louis, and Potomac, Md, I a, always freaked out when we had to go to Ohio twice a year for family functions. It is like a different world to me. My Grandparents lived in Bedford and I was always afraid I would get shot LOL. I have family in Chagrin Falls, and Solon. My vote it Solon. It is very nice there. My cousin raised her family there and loved it. My parents were born and raised in Bedford area and has changed so much over the years. I know my Dad went to Orange High School. My Mother is 74 now and I would like her to go back to get out of Montgomery County, MD because of the cost of living. I should ask her where she would go. She knows the entire area. I am sure there are parts of Cleveland that are great. I guess my family live in sketchy area. When they moved there 40 years ago the nieborhoods were different. Know they are really bad, however, my family is elderly and would never move from their life long home. Best of luck, I would listen to more of some one from Ohio than me. I just had to reply because I know for me it is a different area than I have ever seen. I would check more into Solon if possible.
