Default K-Z Financial Services?

Has anyone had any dealings with K-Z Financial Services?
Kevin Z. Kacenjar
608 Literary Road
Cleveland, Ohio 44113

My elderly parents live in Grafton and this guy came to their door last week to "meet" the neighbors. My parents gave him their social security numbers (I have no more details). I live in another state and was not there to stop this.

A google search of this address tells me it's a street of boarded up buildings. On the west side I think. I haven't lived in Ohio for many years so I'm not familiar with the area.

Any thoughts on what I can do about this? Can we freeze their social security numbers?

Thanks in advance

Not really, Literary Road is a residential neighborhood in Tremont.

Nevertheless, if that is the actual address they're giving out, its probably a little short of legitimate. Giving SSN numbers to anyone usually isn't the best idea.

Probably would be smartest to contact some identity theft authorities and determine the best course of action to take.

I don't know about how legit the company is but here is some tracking info from public records:

K-Z Finacial is associated with an Anthony Z. Kacenjar, CSA,LUTC of Bay Village OH.
The business address is also his home address:
KZ Financial
26219 Lake Road
Bay Village, OH 44140
Phone # is (440) 892-0338

However, the contact for KZ finacial listed with the Secretary of State is a Kevin Z Kacenjar with an address in Lakewood OH (1277 Bonnieview Ave). A probable, although maybe not current, email address for Kevin is kevinzk@yahoo.com .

Also, the county Auditor lists the home on Literary Rd as being owned by Kevin and Lindsey Kacenjar.

If he/they have your parents SS# I would follow up just to be sure everything is on the up and up. I'd hope any valid business will understand your concern given all the scam artists that prey on the elderly. If I had to guess I'd say the business is legit but it can't hurt to find out more.

I am Kevin Z. Kacenjar and KZ Financial Services is my business. I am a licensed financial adviser with the State of Ohio Department of Insurance.

KZ Financial Services - License Number 32675
Kevin Z. Kacenjar - License Number 670771

These licenses are in good standing and can be verified by the State of Ohio Department of Insurance via their website.

I operate a legitimate business with offices currently located on Literary Rd in Cleveland’s Historic Tremont Neighborhood.

I suspect that your parents responded to a direct mail piece that our office mailed to Grafton in May. I do not ever go door to door introducing myself to the neighbors as you stated. All Insurance Carriers require Social Security Numbers be provided at the time of application and I have never asked anyone for this information unless they were applying for insurance.

We have thousands of clients that we have helped with their insurance and investment needs and our office has over 30 years of combined industry experience. We also have many references we are happy to provide as needed.

Please contact me at (440) 840-1569 or via email kkacenjar@kzfinancial.com and I will be happy to discuss my background and qualifications with you directly.
