Moving to area & have a few q's

I would try to avoid Maple Hts. Brecksville is nice, but not really working class. Close to Independence, though. North Royalton isn't bad, has a combination of blue and white collar. Also close to Independence.

There are a few neighborhoods in Maple Hts. that are still OK. These are mostly the ones bordering on the communities listed below.

Your best bets in the surrounding area are the following:
Seven Hills, Independence, Valley View, Brecksville, Broadview Heights, Brooklyn Heights, Sagamore Hills, Walton Hills, Cuyahoga Heights (south of Grant Avenue).

The commute times from any of these communities will be less than 15 minutes.

Some areas a little farther out but still relatively nice are:
N. Royalton, Middleburg Heights, Parma (southern end only...Mainly south of Snow Road), Parma Heights, Macedonia.

The commute times from these areas will range between 15-40 minutes, depending on location and traffic.

I wouldn't live in Maple Heights if the house was free and lined with gold. They have the worst school system ever. It barely counts as a school system. I was there one year and wanted to leave after I saw that it was necessary for 5 police cars to be outside the high school every day when school got out. I would definately spend my money elsewhere.
