Exclamation Looking for a nice & safe place!!

Hi, I'm looking for a nice and safe place to live around Cleveland. I have 2 kids (6 and 7), so I also like to have good schools, I would love a neighborhood where I can walk my dogs anytime or leave my children play outside, so what do you suggest?? Thanks

Cleveland Heights is a good place to live - basically family and pet friendly, but I hear the schools aren't that great. If you can swing it, there are many nice private schools.

That's an extremely broad description. If you're able to answer these questions you can probably get better recommendations:

-Where do you work?
-How much income does the family bring in?
-Public schools or private?
-Willingness to drive everywhere? Or a preferably more dense neighborhood?

There are trade offs for every neighborhood. For example, some of the exurbs might have good public schools, but they might not have sidewalks convenient for walking your dogs and they might require long commutes to do just about anything. More densely populated neighborhoods might be nicer to walk and have your amenities closer by, but the schools might be more dicey.

I live in Rocky River which is on the West side of Cleveland and we are really enjoying it. Great schools, amazing library, so many amenities that the town offers to its' residents and close proximity to the downtown area but very safe and family friendly. Good luck with your search.
