Default Lakewood to Brecksville

I am a recent grad thinking of accepting a position in Brecksville. I do not know anyone in the area and through searching i think Lakewood would be a good place for me to meet people around my age and have a decent night life. How bad would the commute be from Lakewood to say Miller Road off 77? I will need to be at work between 7:30 and 8:30 and leaving no later than 5:00. Additionally, any suggestions for apartments in Lakewood? Or some other place? Thanks

Your commute shouldn't be too bad since, for the most part, you'll be moving in the opposite direction as most of the rush hour traffic... and I-490 makes for a good shortcut to I-77 from I-90 eastbound.

As for apartments in Lakewood, I've always favored the Clifton-Lake-Edgewater area west of West 117th Street to about Nicholson Avenue or so. Lots of good units available, from vintage walkups to modern Gold Coast highrises. Keep in mind, however, that not all buildings have off-street parking, and those that do usually charge extra for it and there's sometimes a waiting list.
