No one was comparing it to East Cleveland (the suburb) when East Clevelands crime is probably one of the highest in the nation per capita. So I don't know what the hell you are talking about.

ok i hear you, but it's what we have, and the fbi and morgan quitno get complained about all the time too. the good thing is, lorain is consistenly from 280-350, and hamilton is consistently 650-750, so if they're screwing up, they sure have been screwing up for awhile . i'm not trying to say hamilton is youngstown or camden nj, but it has one of the highest rates of crime in the state every year.

You're also an idiot for thinking Lorain has no gangs. You're intelligent self probably was in Lorain County and mistook it for the actual city... LOL at non existent gangs. Don't be proud you live in the worst city in Ohio, buddy.

Ive been to East Cleveland plenty of times, Ive been to nearly ever street in the city, I know that its real bad. Ive been down Hayden and the surrounding area also, which is probably close to the worst area I have been to, the only place that bad or worse I have seen was in Detroit. If East Cleveland reported it right, it would be close to 1800 on city-data, close to the worst in the nation, it also had 12 reported murders last year (46 per 100k). Im not saying Lorain is anywhere close to as bad as EC, all I said was the government in Lorain is a joke, the westside version of East Cleveland. Look back at the thread, thats all I said. But its not nice at all and theres real gangs all over.

So, according to your logic, Hamiltons crime rate is 10X+ East Clevelands last year.....are you serious?
And judging by the fact that Clevelands murder count is off by 45 MURDERS, we know its more than likely that it could be wrong at the very least, I happen to know for a FACT that Lorain doesnt report them right, or anywhere near it.
Lorain does the same thing. Im not lying here, Im 100% positive that Lorains rate would be 700+ at the very least. Hamilton is not worse than Lorain. This thread had nothing to do with Hamilton. You even admitted that youve been here what? 1 time? and not even extensively, Ive been all across the midwest and Eastern US and Lorain is bad, a lot worse than average. Ive been to Hamilton a few times and have seen every area of that city, including the so-called "ghetto", was it bad? depends on what your comparing it to, but I would say it was an average small city ghetto, is it worse than Lorain? NO, nowhere close. Hamilton is the average midwest small city, 90% white, low black and hispanic percentage. Lorain is the worst mid-sized city in Ohio besides Youngstown, bottomline. After Lorain comes Springfield, Canton, and then either Mansfield or Hamilton. Im not exaggerating a single thing about Lorain. if your trying to convince me that Lorain isnt bad (even though you may or may not have been here 1 TIME...) your completely wasting your time. Your talking to a person who has seen numerous stabbings, robberies, jumpings, gang wars, and has been jumped, stabbed, and directly shot at twice in Lorain, and thats just the start. And your saying this city isnt bad? I know what Im talking about, and this is not a joke for me. Hillside, Im actually dissapointed and ashamed of you.

whatever you say, cle440. since we're talking disappointed, i'm disappointed that you can't accept reality, and that you hold your basket of knowledge as far superior to every one else's. face it, lorain's not hard. hamilton has a much longer resume, whether you like it or not.
first of all, it's not you dying on the streets in the ghetto, so let's make that clear. it's young black men that look like me that are dying and being hauled off to jail and getting stroked by the judge that sees a black face and thinks, ''menace to society''. before you talk about what you've seen in lil ol lorain, i've survived the wars in cincinnati and hamilton, i've been in the middle of crazy riots, i've been to funerals of family and friends gunned down by the police, so don't you ever in your life tell me what is real and what ain't. when you get some PROOF about big bad lottery town lorain, you holla at me. until then, let it be.

What are you talking about? Are you seriously playing the race card? If I am not mistaken Cle440 is Puerto Rican himself.. yet he doesn't have to pull that card.
Bottom line is, Hamilton and Lorain are in the gutters. But as you can see from East Clevelands city-data stats, they aren't correct or even close to being correct. That is all that is being stated. Both cities are crime ridden and on the downward slope.
But please leave your black man this, black man that jargon out of this debate. You do not know our races behind your computer screen. Proof about Lorain? How about you go live with some of my cousins who attend Admiral King. They'd LOVE to introduce you to their lifestyle.

agreed, and i appreciate the viewpoint.
but as far as cle440, he has claimed to be a white guy. i do recall him saying he's part-rican, but the way he goes back and forth on so many things, you never know.
what race card am i playing, and even better, what is a race card? a social construction by white people in the 1970's to discredit a growing black social freedom, including the increased opportunities in white-collar work, and the ability to speak the truth about the black condition through mainstream media. do you like rap? is hip-hop a race card-driven demon? the race of the oppressor cannot tell the oppressed race what is true about their condition. that is brainwashing, and in itself is an oppressive tactic. wesohood, if you are a minority, thanks for perpetuating a racist social mechanism, just as the creators had hoped.
