On November 4th 2008, Would you please vote for my father Larry Solak, he is running for Portage County Commissioner.

what Larry Solak Will Do For The County

Will plan for our future and the futures of our children

Will keep the cost and burden of government to a minimum

Government decisions cost every one, some times in taxes and very often in fees for permits and licenses that we are required to have in our everyday life. The cost of government must be kept under control and proportionate to the services it provides. We need a government that uses common sense in making decisions. We need a government that is accountable to us, the people it serves.

Will help lower Portage County Debt.

Will Establish A rainy DAy Fund Especially for road repairs, construction that may need to be done in the county.

Will help keep control of cost from the governament under control.

Any questions that may be asked, he will give straight answers.

Experience Larry Solak Has
Member Portage County EMA agency, which is made up of public officials such as Sheriff Duane Kaley, Engineer Michael Marozzi, township trustees Larry Solak and Steve Oros, and private citizens.

The fire chief"s association represents all of the fire departments in the county which -- with law enforcement -- are usually the first responders to any disaster scene.

Serves on Portage County's Emergency Management Board

Serves On Portage County Regional Planning Commission

Serves On Portage County Airport Authority

Serving His 2nd term Shalersville Trustee

Served As amateur radio emergency coordinator for Portage County for five years and spent 15 years, from 1985 to 2000, as the coordinator of Amateur Radio Emergency Communications in Ohio

Self-employed automotive machinist and has owned Solak's Automotive in Streetsboro/Shalersville since 1970.
