I don't buy this. The Shaker lines don't JUST benefit Shaker. Sure, it was built to serve Shaker and serves Shaker best, but many people from nearby suburbs are served by the Blue/Green lines, like Beachwood, University Heights, Warrensville Heights, lower Cleveland Heights and South Euclid and even places like Pepper Pike, Woodmere and Lyndhurst. In other words, these lines serve a wide area of the Heights (of which the western portion is partly served by the Red Line to East Cleveland. It's wrong to assume the Shaker Lines only serve Shaker because they are only within Shaker's arbitrary political boundaries... The free parking lots are filled with cars from other suburbs (including places like Chagrin Falls, Moreland Hills and Chesterland)..In fact, I know many U. Heights, Cleve Hts and Beachwood people who WALK to rapid stations.
