Default New Year's Eve in Cleveland

Hi there,

My husband and I spend time each Christmas with his parents in Chesterland, just east of Cleveland. We usually just hang out and eat/drink/be merry but this year we'll be there a bit later on, i.e. for New Year's Eve. My in-laws are pretty cool but really have no idea what might be going on in downtown Cleveland for New Year's! So are there any recommendations for stuff to do from you locals up there? The Little Italy area might be a good idea too since it would make the drive a bit quicker. I'm originally from London and it would be fine by me to live up there but my 'better' half loves the warmer weather so we've been stuck down here in VA and NC for the past 12 years!
