Be it thats from 1998. Thats actually really bad considering the next lowest white graduation rate of all the cities included was 43%, and that was in Detroit Report | High School Graduation Rates in the United States, Jay P. Greene, Ph. D. .

Ill try to find some more links for other years and see if its similar.

The first article was interesting. Couple things that stood out to me:

"So-called voucher programs have been created in both cities allowing students in failing public schools to use taxpayer money to help pay for tuition at private or religious schools. Greene said the existence of the voucher programs had no impact on the public school graduation statistics cited in the study."

I suspect that program was sabotaged. Remember, if you are organized and unions are, it isn't that hard to forget to pick somebody up for school 90 or 100 times

"Some states that had among highest overall graduation rates produced some of the weakest numbers for blacks."

And then there was this:

I don't have any statistics to back this up, but if you've ever been to some of the high schools in Cleveland, BETWEEN CLASSES AND YOU AREN'T BLACK AND YOU AREN'T A FLAMING LIBERAL, you might not be too surprised that White Kids don't want to go to school.

I wonder if Black kids get discouraged and don't want to go to school. That seems consistent with one of those famous studies they did in the 1950s.

This happens in Los Angeles from time to time. It's always sad when children are involved. There are no words to describe how heinous a crime like this is.

My heart goes out to the family and the City of Cleveland behind this horrendous crime.

Amongst youths, Cleveland is locally known for the annual "beat up a White kid day" that numerous Black cliques 'celebrate' in a fashion that is obvious given what they name the day.

This is my wife's cousin's family. This is disgusting and sad. They just got married on Monday. This is so sick and so disturbing. I don't know how justice can possibly be served on this man. I only pray to the lord and know he will carry out justice.
